The National Marine Museum, Aircraft Carrier Theme Park and Mazu Cultural Park, located in Eco-city were selected for the college entrance examination in 2019, which   highlighted the unique charm of the eco-city in the field of Marine culture and tourism.

As the first national comprehensive public Marine museum in China,National Marine Museum presents a cultural scene of land civilization and sea civilization in Eco-city, which is a small city on the coast of Bohai Sea. It is not only a tourist landmark of the Eco-city, but also a brand-new landmark of Marine culture in China.

All the teachers treasured the chance for visiting this museum. While they are appreciating each art work from nature and species of ancient animals, abundant information, fresh inspiration and profound comprehension constantly flooded into their minds which transferred into teaching materials for the students.

Three geography teachers became the first group volunteers to promote the popularization of geography knowledge to the visitors of National Marine Museum, and also get a chance to teach geography on a broader stage.

At present, China is faced with numerous and complicated maritime issues: prominent conflicts of territorial sea delimitation, frequent dispute of sovereignty over islands, fierce dispute of exploitation of Marine resources and so on. Teenagers, as the future of our country, and their ocean awareness is directly related to the success or failure of the strategy of maritime power. Relying on the advantaged environment of ecological education and Marine education in eco-city, the geography team of our school will keep in mind the mission of the discipline and continue to contribute to the cultivation of students' Marine consciousness.
