Young Pioneers and Young Pioneer counselors,

President Xi Jinping made key instructions on stopping food waste, emphasizing the need to cultivate the habit of thrift and create an atmosphere of “Saving is glorious and wasting is shameful” in the whole society. Thrift is the traditional virtue of the Chinese nation. As the young Pioneers in the new era, we should set up a correct view of thrift and create a campus atmosphere in which everyone regards thrift as "our own business". To this end, the Young Pioneers Committee issued the following initiatives to Young Pioneers and Young Pioneer counselors in our school.

1. The Young Pioneer counselors should help the Young Pioneers bear President Xi Jinping's requests in mind, understand the truth of "Saving is glorious and wasting is shameful", and make it popular among the Young Pioneers to talk about thrift and know how to save through vivid forms such as picture text, theme speech, creative posters, short videos, and so on.

2. Young Pioneer counselors should fully explore the typical examples of thrift to make related simple stories, children's songs and dances, thus leading the Young Pioneers truly understand “Every grain on the plate comes from hard work”. 

3.The Young Pioneers Counselor should guide the Young Pioneers to develop their labor consciousness and ability, and set up the lofty ambition to build a beautiful motherland with their own hands from an early age.

Thrift is a habit and an attitude. As long as we pay a little attention to “frugality”, we’re making great contribution to the society. We should work together to save resources and protect the environment. The new semester is upcoming, let us act to show the graceful demeanor of Young Pioneers with red scarves in the new era to the whole society!
