In order to clarify the guiding ideology of “implementing the Party's educational policy, implementing the fundamental task of establishing morality and promoting the reform and innovation of talent training mode”required by the new curriculum standard, the English Group of senior high school campus has carried out a series of teaching and research activities with the theme of “implementing the core competence and transforming the education mode”.

At the beginning of this semester, the English Group organized a teaching and research conference and led teachers to study curriculum standards (2017 edition) and new textbooks carefully.

In order to further implement the teaching and research theme, the English Group took the opportunity of the 3rd demonstration class sharing activitiesfrom the first-grade teachers to organize teachers to carry out classroom practice activities.

Teacher Zhang Panpan presented a listening and speaking training course with “Homeless” as the theme, “human and society” as the theme context, and “activity view” as the guide.

Reading class from Jiao Zhichao is based on the theme of “human and nature”.

Teacher Zhang Lina, an English teaching and research member in Nankai District, fully affirmed the two teachers’ classroom teaching philosophy with students as the main body, “thematic context” as the main line and classroom activities as the main link.

Yu Shuang, the vice principal, made an in-depth analysis of the two  classes from teachers’ professional growth and students’ all-round development. It not only fully affirmed the exploration of the English group in the subject education mode, but also put forward specific guidance and suggestions to the teachers of the English group in their daily teaching work.

On October 24th, 2019, the English Group of Senior High School campus held a special teaching and research activity with the theme of “Making persistent efforts to meet challenges”.WangXinran, the group  leader, led all the teachers to sort out the ideas of the subject, summarized the previous achievements, and put forward specific requirements for the later research.
