In October, the Chinese Teaching Seminar was held by the Chinese Education Professional Committee of the Society on Modernization of Chinese Language in Shengfang, Hebei. More than 130 teachers 51 schools in 11 regions gathered in Shengfang Ancient Town, Bazhou City. Mr. Zhang Kuiwen, the former head master of Tianjin Binhai Foreign Language school welcomed the teachers, including Huang Jie, Li Xueshuang, Lan Ping, Lu Hongxia, and Wu Xue, who are the teachers from Tianjin Binhai Foreign Language Schools.

On the morning of October 24th, Mr. Zhang Kuiwen, Executive Vice President of the Society made the speech and announced the opening of the National Seminar on Chinese Teaching in primary and secondary schools. After the majestic national anthem, Mr. Tan Ruwei, a professor at the International Education Exchange School of Tianjin Normal University and deputy secretary general of the Chinese Proficiency Test Academic Committee of the Ministry of Education, gave an opening speech. Next, teachers from the primary and secondary schools went to the venue to listen to the teaching feast brought by outstanding teachers from all over the country.

In this seminar, Lan Ping, a Chinese teacher in the Campus Two of our school’s elementary school, participated in the teaching competition. Her lesson, hanhaoniao, was highly praised by the teacher delegates and got relevant suggestions from them, for example, in the future teaching, Chinese education in primary schools should pay more attention to the practical work knowledge application.

On the afternoon of the 25th, Zhao Fulou, a teacher from Tianjin Primary and Secondary School Teaching and Research Section, gave a report on "Reconstruction of Core Literacy Oriented Chinese Teaching".

During the two days of study, the teachers who participated in the event gained a lot.
