The year 2020 has been an extraordinary year. Facing a global public health emergency, all Chinese have united to overcome the difficulties. The theme of “This is China” activity this year focuses on Chinese heroes who protect others in history. It was accomplished through the Internet. 

Students in Grade One learned a lesson with the help of teachers. They grasped new words about occupations in fighting againstCOVID-19. Students in Grade Two displayed a dubbing show and readings of English picture books for parents who worked in frontier of the pandemic. In their opinions, parents are heroes.

In order to express gratitude and reverence for heroes, students in Grade Three and Four collected more information about medical staff and shared knowledge about epidemic prevention. While students in Grade Five carried out a speech contest to eulogize ordinary people who made contributions to curbing the outbreak of the virus.

What’s more, students in Grade Six achieved a dubbing video to praise heroes in the time of crisis. We couldn’t have peaceful and healthy life without dedication of heroes in the pandemic. Grandpa Xi said: “The motherland is the people’s most solid reliance; the heroes are the nation’s most shining examples.”Teenagers should not only pay tribute to the heroes，but also pass on their spirit of responsibility in the future!
