The May sunshine clears up the dark clouds which have brought by the coronavirus as the condition has become better and better. To pay respect to those heroes fighting against the virus and provide students’ a platform to show their English ability, we held the fifth ‘This is China—Chinese Heroes’ on-line show in Campus Three.

Students in different grades showed their respect in various forms. Pupils in Grade One painted pictures and recited some simple English introductions to those heroes. The second graders dubbed a picture book about how to fight against coronavirus. The third graders made some cards and hand-copied paper to write down their blessing for the heroes in China and the world. Students in Grade Four made a comprehensive show, mixing English speech, English songs and sign language dances together. The fifth graders told stories about the heroes with feelings and emotions, including the stories of Doctor Zhong Nanshan and Doctor Li Lanjuan. Similarly, the sixth graders told the stories of the heroes with the help of pictures.

Through the activity, pupils’ patriotism was highly enhanced and their values on the world were well nurtured. In addition, students became more confident of our nation and they also knew how to contribute to our country and the world with their own power. We are looking forward to the students to make a big difference on the international stage in the future.
